Down at the station, Isaac and Colt sat in a interrogation room. Isaac started out, "You're in deep shit, my man. You drugged her with a date-rape drug. Our lab found the roofie in her system, by the way. It would have been gone in another hour or so, but we were just in time. You're lucky she's not underage, she's 18. We've got kidnapping, rape..." He paused.

"Do you know what it means for your future that she was a virgin. I talked to her parents. She had a doctor's exam last week. When a jury hears that you raped a virgin, they'll send you away forever. That is, if you weren't already going away for the rest of your life for the kidnapping. No parole. Life until you die in prison. I want you to notice something."

Colt was looking at years without contact with women. His good looks would get him a lot of contact with men, however, and he knew it. He recognized that Isaac had asked him a question. "What am I supposed to notice?"

"I haven't given you the Miranda warning. Do you know why?"

Colt sighed, "Because you have enough to send me away without my testimony."

"Good thinking. You got anything to trade? We might be able to put in an end date. You could be eligible for parole someday. Got anything, at all?"

"Yeah. I got a slavery ring. I know everything about it. That should be worth something."

Isaac looked disappointed, "Damn. Sorry, man. We broke up that ring last week when we rescued Daphne and her sister. Think again."

"You didn't break up the entire ring. It runs in two states and specializes in blondes. I can give you everything."

"Alright. Just a minute." From memory, Isaac recited the Miranda warning and asked if Colt understood his rights. Colt said he did. Isaac said, "Okay. Now, tell me what you have. If it's good enough, I'll talk with the D.A. and we'll cut you a deal."

Colt explained it carefully, "It's run out of Tempe, headquarters in the Happy V bar. Guy's name is Hernando Guzman, skinny guy. Have to run around in the rain to get wet. He's got two lieutenants, man named Anthony Rancuso and another named Hector Gomez. Here's part of the big information I've got to trade. Rancuso don't work for Guzman. He's from back East. He's connected to the Colombo family in New York. The FBI should love that. Anyway, they've got brothels in five cities across the border; Nogales, Tijuana, Ciudad Juarez, Piedras Negras and Nuevo Laredo. That's not where the main money is. There's just hookers and johns and most of the johns are poor Mexicans. The real money comes from a business relationship with Sheik Ghalib al Habbibi..."

Isaac interrupted, "This is a lot for a biker from New Mexico to know. If you're just yanking our chain, there's not going to be any deal."

"I met him. The guy likes to brag. I was at the Piedras Negras brothel, and a guy in Arab clothes comes in.
